Possibility of principle of obtaining ductile iron castings in terms of Teplokontrol by the ladle modification with minimal additional cost is examined and confirmed. This allows the enterprise to expand the range of castings, which is very important for improving the financial sustainability in terms of the economic crisis.

Matveyev I.A., Desnitskaya L.V. Strength to breakage resistance ratio in simulating the operation of large railway castings
The operation requirements to large railway castings cause the necessity of resolving the problem of choosing a complex of mechanical properties of steel being used, which properties should provide the required long-term carrying capacity. The structural complexity of railway castings often imposes conflicting requirements on the metal therein. The investigations conducted show a rational area of high breakage resistance values with a more ductile metal.

Kolyadov E.V., Gerasimov V.V., Visik E.M. On the specific defects of castings after directional solidification
The article describes specific defects of casting during the obtaining of single-crystals of superalloys. Factors of formation of jet segregation (freckles) were described. The work on determination of influence of casting process parameters over the appearance possibility of the freckles was done. The influence of casting cross-section increasing over the appearance of this defect was determined. Macrostructure of castings, size and depth of freckles were shown.

Illarionov I.E., Strelnikov I.A. About application of heat-insulating metal-phosphate mixtures
The present article studies an optimum composition of heat-insulating metalphosphate mixtures. We use as insulating materials porous substances with low thermal conductivity and low density. According to factual data, heat-insulating riser shells reduce the weight of a riser twice. Here is studied the influence of various heat insulators on thermophysical properties of shells as well as conditions for obtaining castings with the structure of high quality and strength. The article also offers methods of applying heat-insulating metal-phosphate mixtures in industry.

Isagulov A.Z., Kulikov V.Y., Tverdokhlebov N.I., Shcherbakova Y.P., Kovalyova T.V. Effect of wash on the quality of intricate iron and steel castings in expanded pattern casting
Experiments on the selection of penetration-preventing washes and their application to polystyrene patterns have been carried out. It has been found that the gas permeability of a penetration-preventing coating is substantially influenced by the physical state of its components: rate of disperse phase removal, binder nature, property of refractory filler, its dispersiveness and layer thickness. It has been shown that the penetration preventing coating not only ensures casting surface quality, but also influences the main process parameters of expanded pattern casting: mold filling rate, mold fillability.

Khrabina D. Steel filtration during pouring
Application and advantages of filters in various gating-and-feeding systems, such as direct pouring systems, ceramic systems and filtration systems Hollotex* CFU for very heavy castings are discussed on practical examples. The advantages and disadvantages of various application methods are discussed together with their effect on metal purity and casting surface improvement.

Lyuty R.V., Keush D.V., Guriya I.M. Strengthening core sands with orthophosphoric acid and metal salts
The article presents the results of the thermodynamic calculations for chemical reactions of interaction phosphoric acid with a series metal salts. The calculations of change of free energy indicate the possibility of passing these reactions as at normal temperature and as to under heating. In a result of reviewed the interaction is the formation of metal phosphates, which act as binders in the designed core mixtures. Heating the mixtures to a temperature of about 200C provide them high strength characteristics.

Smirnov V.V., Mamleyev R.F., Barzali V.V., Ladnov P.V. Designing gating-and-feeding systems for stationary pouring of shell molds of large Ti-castings
In the paper results of the investigation for possibility of a stationary filling of large castings made from titanium alloy VT6 in ceramic molds for investment casting are presented. Investigation showing a variety of design options developed by the authors gating system for the casting of inner housing, analyzed the influence of the characteristic dimensions of the elements gating system on the occupancy of the mold during casting and the formation of a stationary casting defects.

Markov V.A., Shneider A.A., Grigor A.S. Basedworkflow mixer selective mixing moldablemixture This article seeks to examine the foundations workflow selectivitytive mixing. The concept of selective mixing of sand-clay mixtures, and also designed the experimental set-up lessroller centrifugal mixer. Data were obtained confirming the transfer of the mixture in suspension.
