Zenkin R.N. Research of duration and influence modifying effect to mechanical characteristics of high-strength cast iron
In this article are represented the results of research duration of modifying effect as a result of desulfurization-modifying additives. Is shown the duration of existence of spheroidal graphite form and after that happened transition of an unstable, non-equilibrium state to the initial.

Ospennikova O.G., Rassokhina L.I., Parfenovich P.I., Bityutskaya O.N. Gas-turbine engine blades from high-temperature casting alloy of new generation VZhL21 with polycrystalline structure
The article is devoted to testing of heat-resistant nickel alloy casting a new generation VZHL21 low density, designed for the manufacture of turbine blades with polycrystalline equiaxed structure. An alloy having increased high-temperature strength and ductility characteristics, was developed in the FSUE "VIAM" as a result of computer-aided design and comprehensive experimental research. The tests of thermal fatigue characteristics of the samples, as well as the endurance test of rotor blades. In operation, it was found that the alloy VZHL21 fully meets the turbine blades of gas turbine engines.

Ioffe M.A., Farisov R.D., Khairullin M.R. Examination of transition zone between cast iron and steel elements of decorative articles
There was studied the possibility of making decorative application articles by combined methods – combining casting iron elements and plastic working those of steel, which allows improving quality characteristics of articles and cutting production costs.

Kurilina T.D. Special features of refining metal melts in mold
There was compared the efficiency of filtering an Al melt through different filters – screen, ceramic foam, granular. It was shown that a significant effect was achieved in case of using granular filters.

Ivanova L.A., Chernyshov Y.A., Kuznetsov S.A. Effect of complex modifier on residual strength of water-glass bonded sands
There is proposed an additive to water-glass bonded sand – a complex modifier that allows substantially improving sand properties when used in both nonferrous and ferrous alloys, and simplifies and makes the process less expensive.

Doroshenko V.S. Examples of the metal savings for casting ductile cast iron in sand molds
Savings metal corresponds to the current trend for innovation in the foundry industry. Concept combination of new advances in the technology of high-strength alloys and molding processes, and the use of the mold as a tool to change the properties of the metal offered to use for casting ductile cast iron. Guidelines for optimizing the thickness of castings, examples accurate castings of lightweight and high-their production are described in the article.

Zarubin A.M., Zarubina O.A. Study of melt flow process in risers at chill casting
In chill casting, the following main causes that decrease mechanical properties of castings of aluminum alloys can be isolated. It is the shrinkage defects formation, and also the mixing of gases and oxide film when mold filling. In this article the possible options for the use of massive sprues, reducing the probability of mixing gases and oxide film in the melt, and providing additional feed the melt in the solidifying casting are analyzed.

Bezpalko V.I., Batyshev K.A. Influence of pressure on silumin casting solidification at casting with crystallization under pressure
Discussed is the influence of pressure on the duration of solidification of cylindrical silumin castings at casting with crystallization under pressure. It is shown that increasing the squeeze pressure leads to higher intensity of cooling the casting in the mold.

Bazhenov V.Y., Koltygin A.V., Tselovalnik Y.V., Sannikov A.V. Simulation of process of aluminum casting into a graphite mold
There was studied the process of casting an Al alloy into a graphite mold. The simulation resulted in obtaining values of heat transfer factors from the alloy to the mold and between the mold’s elements, as well as those of heat emission from graphite to the atmosphere.
