Zenkin R.N., Walter A.I. Influence of the inoculants fraction composition on the enhancement of nodular iron inoculation effect
In this article are represented results of a mathematical determination of relations particle size distribution for refining-modifying technology in production of high-strength cast iron in which use slag-containing composite materials. This materials increase the duration of the modifying effect.

Vdovin K.N., Gorlenko D.A., Feoktistov N.A., Chernov V.P. Alloying high-manganese steel with nitrided ferrochromium
The influence of alloying high-manganese steel with nitrided ferrochromium. It is shown that it increases as the abrasive and impact-abrasive wear resistance in the range of alloying from 1.5 to 2.0% chromium. It was determined that for each cooling rate of the alloy there is a critical concentration chromium, in which the number of carbides of different types in the microstructure of high-manganese steel in the same way. The concentration of chromium not only affects the number and morphology of the carbide phase, but also on the grain size of austenite and its form.

Romanyuk V.V., Nikitin V.I., Frolov A.N. About hereditary influence of aluminum shavings and sawdust on silumins
In the article has been showed the results of recycling of AK9ch alloy shavings and sawdust obtained during various types of machining in AutoLitMash foundry company. The quality of the initial scrap was investigated. The remelting of recycled shavings and sawdust was obtained, an analysis of the microstructure of the obtained melts has been carried out.

Gruzman V.M., Lapina A.U. Fiability of the waterglass facing sand
In the industrial conditions the facing layer of six hundred waterglass mould has been checked. A device for the blowing of laboratory samples has been developed to simulate the blowing of a facing sand of the ready mould. A significant influence on the precipitation was set in the increase of the blowing time within the framework of its shop vibration. The search of the optimal blowing time led to the desirability of its reducing in the comparison with the practiced time. The dangerous influence of the overestimated blowing time on the defectiveness of the castings on the burned-in sand has been fixed.

Tkachenko S.S., Yemelyanov V.O., Martynov K.V. Enhancing the metal utilization factor in the production of machine-tool parts
The article discusses the issue of enhancing the metal (castings) utilization factor in the production of machine-tool parts using the investment casting method. Values of interfacial angle for various pattern compounds and press-tool materials are given. Dependence of surface effects on the temperature of pattern compound melt is presented.

Kvon Sv.S., Kulikov V.Y., Isagulov A.Z., Arinova S.K., Kovalyova T.V. Examination of polystyrene foam in the gasifiable pattern casting
Three polystyrene grades PSB-15, PSB-25, PSB-35 have been examined for porosity. It has been found that the pore distribution character is virtually the same. Taking into consideration the conducted examinations, as pattern polystyrene grades PSB-15 and PSB-25 can be recommended, and when using the gasifiable pattern casting for heat-resistant alloys the pattern burn-out time can be increased by 15-20%.

Features of melt pouring into water-soluble salts filling are established and explained for casting of foamed aluminum products. Reasons of reduction of granular filling passage section are defined for sodium chloride granules.

Livshits V.B., Kobzev D.S. Technology for making hollow art castings without using cores
During design the new technology of receiving hollow art castings without application of cores is for the first time studied, proved and applied. The developed technology increases labor productivity, saves the model material, filled-in metal and reduces number of applied adaptations.
