Gushchin N.S., Matytsinа G.I., Takhirov A.A. On the susceptibility of castings made of nickel-chromium cast iron to the cracks formation
The investigation of an influence of the ratio between Cr and C in nickel-chromium castiron (NCCI) on the amount and type of carbides formedin it has shown that a decrease in this ratio promotes an increase in the amount of carbides ofcementite-type (К1) and a decrease in the trigonal type carbides (К2). In case ofsuch quantitative change in carbide contents, its bending strength is reduced and, at the same time, the level of tensile residual stresses tis increased. As a result of that the castings from NCCI are susceptible to cracks, which leads to their destruction.
Key words: Nickel-chromium castiron, chromium, carbon, metal base, carbides, cracks, austenite, residual tensile stresses.

Zakirov E.S., Panov А.G. Increase in stability of CGI structure and properties by means of the new Fe-Ni-Mg-RE-alloy

Shipelnikov A.A., Bobyleva N.A. Formation of zones with whitening structure in thin-walled from castings microalloyed structural cast iron
The article presents the results of production experiments to study the effect of the size of castings and the cooling rate of various zones on the area of whitened areas of thinwalled castings of the working bodies of submersible pumps from microalloyed cast iron SCH03C01B. Influence of diversion riser through the increase of zonal heat content on suppression of the effect of "edge" whitening of external faces of castings is shown, the critical value of the cooling rate is established to increase the cementite content by more than 10% of the area of thin-walled zones of castings, which leads to a significant increase in hardness of cast billets and is not acceptable for s large-scale production condition.
Key words: Whitening, microalloyed cast iron, cementite, crystallization, cooling rate, diversion riser, submersible pumps.

Batyshev А.I. Casting of dosing pump casings from vermicular graphite iron
The article presents the results of researches of dosing pump casingsproduced by sand mold casting (SMC) and horizontal continuous casting (HCC) from vermicular graphite iron (VGI) with an increased content of silicon.Microstructure, mechanical properties and wear resistance of VGI casings indicating the possibility of their use in production are described.
Key words: Casting, VGI, microstructure, mechanical properties, wear resistance, dimensional stability.

Lyutyy R.V., Lyutaya D.V. Cold-hardening aluminum-phosphate mixture for foundry molds and cores
In the article the results of searching for a new inorganic binder system of the phosphateclass was presented. On the basis of a number of theoretical knowledge, processes of interaction of phosphoric acid with finely dispersed aluminum powder and the fact cold hardening in the system are researched and installed. The dynamics of the interaction of these substances is studied and it is shown that at the initial stage it occurs with low intensity. The basis of the binding films in the solidified mixture is aluminum orthophosphate, which showed good adhesion to the quartz filler, which made it possible for the first time to develop an aluminum-phosphate cold-hardening mixture that was established. The physical and mechanical properties of the mixture are investigated and it is shown that after 1 hour of hardening is attained a high strength, sufficient for the manufacture of the molds and cores.
Key words: Aluminum phosphate, aluminum powder, binder, cold-hardening mixture, phosphoric acid, properties, vitality.

Novikov V.I., Basov V.V., Galkin K.A. Chill casting of Ti-alloy impeller of a small sized centrifugal pump
The expediency of application of vacuum centrifugal chill casting (VCCC) and the use of graphite rods (GR) to form interblade channels was substantiated for production of a VT5L titanium alloy impeller of a small-sized centrifugal pump. The main elements of this technology are described, including production of GR by hot compaction of the molding sand with organic binders, assembly of the rods in the split chill mold and centrifugal casting of the molds in the 833D melting and casting unit. The features of formation and quality problems of Ti chill castings for a small-sized centrifugal wheel are shown.
Key words: Impeller, centrifugal pump, titanium alloys, chill mold casting, a graphite rod.

Vankо B., Stanchek L., Batyshev К.А. Formation of non-dendritic structure in wrought aluminum alloy castings during casting with crystallization under pressure
An influence of the nature of the pressure impact on the structure of cup-type castings manufactured from 7075 wrought aluminum alloy by casting with crystallization under pressure (CCUP) was shown. The pressure rise time control made it possible to form a non-dendritic microstructure typical for castings produced by casting in the semi-solid state. The morphology of the primary solid solution was predominantly spheroidal with a good uniformity in size and geometry throughout the casting value.
Key words: Casting with crystallization under pressure, punch pressing, casting, non-dendritic microstructure, pressure control.

Livshits V.B., Bezpalko V.I., Bobkova E.S., Popov E.I. Production of cast casings of improved tightness by casting with crystallization under pressure
A technology for manufacturing of amanometer casing of anincreased tightness in the explosion-proof design from Al–Mg-alloy by casting with crystallization under pressure (CCUP) is described. The structure and mechanical properties of the manufactured casings are considered.
Key words: Casting, extrusion, press mold, tightness, density, structure, mechanical properties of a casting.
