The results of studies of the dependence of the structure and mechanical properties of ductile iron in control U-shaped samples and thick-section castings are presented. An example of manufacturing a heavy casting with a wall-section of 550 mm from ductile iron with the required level of mechanical properties in the central part of the section of the casting is given.

Kalinichenko M.L., Kalinichenko V.A., Dolgii L.P. Technological aspects of obtaining composite model kits using additive technologies
The paper presents up-to-date data on layered composite materials, considers their components, and analyzes the methods of their production. A number of aspects of obtaining composite materials for machine-building needs using additive technologies are considered. The concept of replacing high-energy technologies with these processes is proposed. Also, the analysis of single - and multi-component models for the production of cast compounds with a circulation of 200 to 100,000 castings was carried out. Examples of manufactured models are given. The strength properties of dissimilar materials are evaluated when attaching different types of adhesives.

Strelnikov I.A., Pestryaeva L.Sh., Sadetdinov Sh.V. Properties of the peat-containing heat-insulating mixtures for the lost heads of steel castings
Experimental data on the effect of dipinaconborate compounds on the physical and mechanical properties of peat-containing heat-insulating mixtures for the lost heads of steel castings are given in the article. It was stated that the addition of lithium dipinaconborate (sodium or potassium dipinaconborates as well) to a peat-containing heat-insulating mixture makes it possible to increase its compressive strength in the wet state and its tensile strength in the dry state. It is shown that dipinaconborate additives reduce friability, improve formability, and reduce the thermal conductivity coefficient of heat-insulating mixtures. An assumption is made how to reduce their flammability and fire hazard. A new heat-insulating mixture was developed.

Shirokov E.V., Marshirov I.V. Determination of process conditions of centrifugal casting to produce castings with an internal closed cavity
The issue of optimization of the process of obtaining small castings with an inner surface in the form of an isolated cavity is considered. A method for producing castings is proposed, which uses the technology of complex motion of a spherical mold along a given trajectory. The modeling of the process of movement of a spherical mold along a complex trajectory due to the force action of two pushers on it has been carried out. The possibility of organizing the operation of pushers in a mode when the movement of the mold is completely controlled is shown. The relationship between the main technological parameters of the controlled movement of the mold along the entire length of its complex trajectory has been determined.

Zhurilo A.G., Zhurilo D.Yu. Cast iron is the material for bells
This paper describes the production of cast iron bells. First, the data on the main parameters and characteristics of the sound power of the bells are given. From this study, it can be concluded that the presence of a silver impurity in the metal does not affect the acoustic power of the bells. Interesting results of the original technology of casting cast-iron bells are presented.
