The results of studies of an influence of the graphite shape and the structural components of the matrix on the mechanical properties of ductile iron are presented. It is shown that the production of the desired properties of cast iron is possible both by controlling the graphite parameters F and by varying the matrix structure. The spheroidal graphite of a perfect shape with F = 0.8…1.0 is required to manufacture ductile iron with UTS = 600…700 MPa and ? = 12…17%.

Marukovich E.I., Stetsenko V.Y., Stetsenko A.V. Recrystallization of iron-carbon alloys – nanostructured process
Recrystallization of iron-carbon alloys has been shown to be a nanostructured process. Microcrystals of secondary cementite of steels and cast iron are formed from elementary nanocrystals of iron and graphite, free atoms of graphite and iron-carbon complexes. Microcrystals of primary ?-ferrita steels are formed from elementary nanocrystals of iron and graphite, free iron atoms. Microcrystals of cast iron secondary graphite are formed from elementary nanocrystals and free graphite atoms. Eutectoid microcrystals are formed from elementary nanocrystals of iron and carbon, free atoms of iron and carbon, iron-carbon complexes.

Malinov L.S. Economic-alloyed alloys with metastable austenite and their processing
The results of research in a promising direction for creation of the economically alloyed special-purpose steels, which provide an increased level of properties due to the receiving in the structure metastable austenite and the implementation of the self-hardening effect under loading are summarized.

Kulikov V.Yu., Kvon S.S., Arinova S.K., Aubakirov D.R. Тhe casting of an heat-resistant alloy
In this article, the calculations of the gate-feeding system and the values of the filtration process are determined, which will allow choosing the optimal technological values of the process. The influence of the frequency and amplitude of ultrasonic action on the mechanical properties of the obtained samples is determined. It is shown that the use of ultrasonic treatment of the melt has little effect on the mechanical properties after primary crystallization.

The work describes the results of a theoretical study of the stress state of the shell mold when the steel casting in the form of a ball hardens in it. The results of the numerical solution to the problem of modeling the cracking process in shell form using the tested numerical method, the author's solution algorithm and software complexes are presented. The results of the solution are presented in the form of stress and displacement fields.

Popov A. Basic criteria for choosing core-making equipment based on the experience of Laempe
The article describes the technology development of serial production of cores from the middle of the 20th century to the present day. The main criteria for choosing a core-making machine are indicated, most technologically advanced methods and modern samples of core-making equipment are shown.
