Feoktistov A.V., Modzelevskaya O.G., Kiselyov V.A., Obanin V.A., Selyanin I.F., Kutsenko A.A. Use of carbonates of alkaline-earth metals for treating cast iron of centrifugal machine ingot molds
This paper deals with effect of modifying the ability of barium-strontium carbonate (BSC-2) in the production of cast iron for the manufacture of molds centrifugal machines on the microstructure of the samples castings, fluidity, hardness, iron, level and type of marriage molds. Analysis parameters given without BSC-2, using BSC-2 class 2 size provided by the manufacturer, and using the BSC-2 guild pulverized by crushing to 5 mm average size. It was established that the modifying effect of the BSC-2 significantly increased in crushing factions class 1 to class 2 to size on the shop floor with the addition of a modifier in the molten iron temperature of not less than c 1390...1400°C.
Keywords: modification of cast iron, barium-strontium carbonate (BSC-2), fluidity.

Krushenko G.G. Improving the efficiency of the modifier alloys used in casting aluminum alloys
Describes the technology of modifying the master alloys Al–Ti and Al–Zr nanopowder titanium carbonitride TiCN, which leads to the reduction of length present in the particle, respectively, and TiAl3 ZrAl3, and, as a result of processing these alloys melt aluminium size reduction structure.
Keywords: Aluminium, master alloys Al–Ti and Al–Zr, size reduction structure, nanopowder titanium carbonitride TiCN.

Afanasyev V.K., Herzen V.V., Korovin G.T., Dolgova S.V., Popova M.V. Hydrogen melt processing techniques to increase the deformability of the aluminum alloy with high silicon content
In this paper we studied aluminum alloys with 15...50% Si. Found that treatment of the melt of hypereutectic alloys Al–Si alkali hydrogen decomposition of aluminum, lithium hydride, and small additions of beryllium or completely removed to varying degrees decomposed primary silicon phase separation. An effective way of handling the melt mixture Cu3P + LiH, which to the greatest extent modifies the structure of high-silicon alloys. Application of the method allows for hot plastic deformation of the alloy Al– 20%Si with the degree of 90...94% to obtain a high-quality semi-finished products. The results of the work are obtained on the basis of ideas about the leading role of hydrogen in the formation of the structure and deformability.

Kleinbug I.P., Zheleznyak L.M., Yezhov Y.A. Improving the quality of continuous-cast ingots of complexly-alloyed brasses and bronzes in the manufacture of semi-finished products for the machine building industry
In order to eliminate the disadvantages of the known sliding crystallizers (SC) and to improve the quality of continuous-cast ingots of complexly-alloyed bronzes and brasses with a wide temperature range of crystallization under production conditions, there was implemented an original SC design that resolved the following problems: assembly, mounting-dismantling and operation of SC have been facilitated, its operational reliability has been ensured, system for feeding a coolant to SC has been simplified, and casting speed and ingot quality have been improved.

Selivanov A.A., Milevskaya T.V., Tkachenko E.A., Doroshenko N.M. Control of the structure of high-strength aluminum wrought alloy during the continuous casting with MHD stirring of the melt
One of these technologies is the process of hixoforming, it is carried out in semisolid state of metal billets, with pre-prepared in the primary crystallization of ingots with the fine globular (non-dendritic) microstructure. A fine non-dendritic structure of the aluminum alloy ingot can be obtained through the application of a magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) melt stirring in a continuous casting of ingots and to provide high technological properties required in processing of ingot into semi products.
Key words: High-strength aluminum wrought alloy, thixotropic non-dendritic structure, MHD stirring.
