Matveyenko I.V. , Sokorev A.A. Results of Grinding Fireclays down to Nanoscale Composition
The regularities of gaining the activity in “dry” fragmentation, with sodium salts of complex phosphoric acid and along with ethanol 95%. The use of ethanol 95% allowed to increase the output of clay nanofractions from 5…8 to 35% and classify them according to the activity production in nano-micron size interval.

Stancek L. , Batyshev A.I., Vanko B. , Sedlacek J. Influence of Melt Cooling and Flow Rates on Casting Structure in Casting with Crystallization under Pressure
The article describes a procedure of making castings from Al-Si7-Mg0.3 silumin with a globular structure of solid solution under high external pressure during melt crystallization. Mutual influence of high gradients of flow rate of the alloy being crystallized and high cooling rates at different temperature gradients is evaluated.

Gushchin N.S., Nuraliyev F.A., Petrov L.A., Semyonov P.V. Regulation of Heat Removal Intensity from Cast Metal in Centrifugal Casting
Various types of coatings used in centrifugal casting are discussed. Process features influencing the intensity of heat removal from cast metal are defined, examples of using various types of heat insulation in centrifugal casting are given.

Ogorodnikova O.M. Residual stresses in casting
The origin of residual stress formation during the casting process is discussed in the article. The restricting residual macro-stresses were investigated with use of computeraided-engineering software LVMFlow. For this purpose a special sample geometry made of cylindrical bars and Al-Si cast alloys were selected. Existence of solid aluminum in only one lattice modification enables to except phase stress from total stresses arising within the casting. The behavior of residual macro-stresses caused mainly by geometry restriction was revealed.
