Korovin V.A., Leushin I.O., Palavin R.N., Kirov A.S. Effect of Microalloying Additions on Steel Melt
The article discusses issues of element selection for microalloying and changing the structure and mechanical properties of microalloyed structural steel. Microalloying, influence on the melt with small amounts of active elements, ensures higher quality of metal and products made of it, which is expressed in obtaining more favorable microstructure and improving the physical-and-mechanical properties of castings.

Ri E. K., Ri Khosen, Khimukhin S.N., Kalugin M.Y., Statsenko D.P., Kryuchkov I.V. Effect of Overheat Temperature on the Properties of Silumin Castings
It was found through investigations that depending on the overheat temperature of the melt the character of component distribution in the structural constituents of an alloy substantially changes, which determines changes in its mechanical properties. As a rule, maximal mechanical properties of the alloy correspond to maximal Mg and Si concentrations due to crystallization of strengthening Mg2Si phases.

Stetstenko V.Y. , Gutev A.P. Application of a Highly Dispersed Aluminium Inoculant
It is shown that for reaching of maximal effect of modifying of alloy AK18 structure it is necessary to use superfine aluminium modifier AlSi12Sb15Ti5 in the quantity of 0,1% of melt mass or AlSb5Ti3 at the quantity of 0,5%.

Konokotin S.P. Effect of Electromagnetic Field on Physical-and-Mechanical Properties of Cast Chromium
Effect of electromagnetic treatment (EMT) on the process of chromium melt crystallization in a mold allows to produce refined crystalline structure with the presence of prevailing texture formation, and to improve the physical-andmechanical properties, which contributes to the reduction of cold brittleness of cast chromium at room temperature.

Nikitin K. V., Timoshkin I.Y. Hereditary Effect of Pig Alloys on the Properties of Silumin Castings
A comparative investigation into the effect of the structure of pig silumins of primary and secondary origin on the structure and properties of die castings has been conducted. The investigation results show that the quality of alloys is determined not only by the origin of charge materials (primary or secondary), but also by the technology level at producer foundry.

Batyshev K.A. Aluminum Alloy Castingwith Crystallization under Pressure
Investigations have shown that the refinement of the structure and elimination of shrinkage porosity under pressure contribute to enhancement of mechanical properties of castings. The possibility of obtaining a combined structure in castings has been established, which predetermines different mechanical properties in separate zones of the casting. Technological ways of regulating such a structure when casting with crystallization under pressure by changing: the contact zone width, thickness of heatinsulation coating of the die matrix and pressing pressure have been established.
