Mukhina I.Y. , Duyunova V.A., Uridiya Z.P. Promising Cast Magnesium Alloys
VIAM specialists various magnesium alloys VML18, VML20, which are superior to domestic and foreign analogues in strength and workability characteristics, have been developed. The possibility of the use of the new magnesium alloys as a structural material for up-to-date machinery is shown. Key words: alloy, alloying elements, mechanical properties, density, melting and casting technology.

Shalomeyev V.A. Cast Economically Alloyed Mg-Al-Zn System Alloys with Enhanced Properties
The choice of alloying elements to improve the magnesium alloys. The influence of the chemical composition and the structural components of the alloy on the properties of cast metal. Correlation between the melting point of the alloying elements with heat resistance of magnesium alloys. Keywords:Microalloying, magnesium alloys, cast metal, structure, mechanical properties, heat resistance.

Zadrutsky S.P., Rumyantseva G.A., Nemenenok B.M. Refining Capability and Environmental Safety of New Fluxes and Preparations
Investigated were the refining effect and volumes of dust-and-gas emissions during treatment of AK9 alloy with a standard refining flux (47% KCL, 30% NaCl, 23% Na3AlF6) and with new refining compounds containing sulphur with Na2CO3 and Na3AlF6 additions. It was found that the best complex of properties is shown by AK9 alloy after treating a melt with 0.05% of a refining preparation (30% S, 70 % Na2CO3). Dust emissions during treatment decreases 120fold as compared to the refining with 1.0% of a standard flux. Key words: fluxes, ecology, refining efficiency, density, dust level

Sergiyenko O.S., Klochikhin V.V. Effect of Casting Temperature and Cooling Rate during Hot Isostatic Pressing on the Structure and Properties of VT20L Alloy
Analysis of the main parameters of hot isostatic pressing suggested by different researchers was conducted. Authors suggest an alternative HIP treatment using holding of titanium alloy castings at a temperature higher than the point of polymorphic transformation and subsequent quick cooling. Key words: titanium alloy, hot isostatic pressing, regime, temperature, cooling rate.

Lyuty R.V., Guriya I.M. , Shapovalova D.V., Keush D.V. Binding Compositions Based on Orthophosphoric Acid and Metal Salts
This article presents the results of the study of chemical interactions of phosphoric acid with different metal salts occurring under normal conditions and during heating. It is established that chemical reactions of salts of stronger acids with phosphoric acid are possible, resulting in formation of phosphates, which have binding properties in the moulding mixture with refractory filler. Key words: adhesion bond, soluble salt, phosphoric acid, hardening, strength, binder, moulding mixture.

Ogorodnikova O.M., Ryabov D.G., Radya V.S. Computer-Aided Analysis of Manufacturing
In this work, we developed the computational models and methods for combined simulation of the cast mold during production and operation on the common finiteelement mesh. According to the results of computer analysis, we improved the design of molds for producing the ingots of blister copper and optimized technology of its manufacture by casting in sand form. Finally, the set of improved molds was produced and tested in the plant conditions. No distortion was obtained in these cast molds after operation testing. Key words: digital production, computer simulation, finite element method, WinCast, mold, ingot.

Budanov Ye. N. The crisis of the car building industry of Russia because of problems with large steel castings
Car building is contained by casting deficiency and their poor quality threatens safety of transportations and increases accidents. The article argues in favour of the V-Process choice as a uniform technology for production of qualitative large car castings for freight bogies. Keywords:Large freight car castings, uniform molding technology, casting critical deficiency.

Marshirov V.V. Numerical simulation of die casting alloys with high melting point
Using the finite difference method developed model of solidification. The model includes the change in the physical properties of materials on the temperature, the existence of phase transitions and complex boundary conditions. Using the model was performed comparison the influence of materials, boundary and initial conditions to the changing temperature fields of castings and molds. The results can be used to produce castings of alloys with a high melting point and to develop new alloys with nano- and micro-crystalline structure. Key words: die casting, numerical simulation, alloys with high melting point, new materials with nano- and micro-crystalline structure.
