Kovalevich E.V. Effective inoculant to produce nodular iron
An inoculant to produce nodular iron is prepared from a powder mixture of various components ground to a certain fineness. By changing the ratio of the inoculation mixture components it is possible to ensure an inoculation process with a 90-95% magnesium assimilation, without pyroeffect, and obtain predetermined iron structure and properties.
Key words:Cast iron, inoculant, nodular iron, magnesium, pyroeffect.

Ponomarenko O.I, Kolesnik E.V., Evtushenko N.S. Investigation of strength cold-hardening resin mixtures of chromite sands
Establish the influence of patterns of environmentally friendly binders oligofurfuriloksisilaksanov on the strength properties of cold-mixtures of chromite sand and stabilization of their properties in a production environment.
Key words:Cold-hardening sand, chromite sand, compression strength, binding strength, tensile strength, paratoluene sulfonic acid, oligofurfcryloxisiloxanes, simulation, optimization.

Valisovsky I.V. Wettability of molding materials by liquid metal
Presented are investigations to study the wettability of molding materials by liquid metal, depending on their grain distribution, duration of their contact with liquid metal and its temperature. Experiments were conducted with armco iron on different fractions of quartz sand, chromomagnesite and chrome ironstone in an oxygen-free and nitrogen-free atmosphere. It is noted that at negative wetting of molding materials by liquid metal penetration formation conditions on castings, other conditions being equal, are substantially harder.
Key words:Wettability, quartz sand, liquid metal, penetration, armco iron, surface tension, grain structure, gas atmosphere, grain-size distribution, limiting wetting angle.

Korotchenko A.Y., Smykov A.F., Larichev N.S. New method of unity of rheological models to resolve casting technology tasks
On the basis of analogy methods for calculating the compaction of a clay-bonded sand in a flask, heat exchange of solidifying casting with the mold, and stressedly-deformed condition of the casting at hindered free shrinkage, there is proposed using a unified flexible-viscoelastic model, based on which there is introduced a universal criterion of evaluating the probability of obtaining defect-free areas in a sand mold and a solidifying casting. It is shown that, if a unity rheological model and unity quality criterion are used for studying the various process stages, the techniques and rules designed to improve the quality of some of the process stages can also be used to improve the quality of any other process stage.
Key words:Rheology, model, sand compaction, porosity, hot tears, quality of castings.

Uglev N.P., Poilov V.Z., Merzlyakov K.S., Zvezdin V.L., Shilov A.V., Ordin D.A. Research of modeling mass removal process out of ceramic shell molds for precision casting
Wax and polystyrene models removal out of shell cavity is technologically significant element of ceramic casting molds preparation in precision casting. That is realized with its melting and following burning out. In the ground of DTA and DTG modeling mass and polystyrene at temperature in inert and oxidizing atmosphere to 800°C behaviour specifics was discussed. In the ground of experimental data was formulated advices for ceramic molds technological preparing.
