Gavrilin I.V. Development of the theory of heredity in the processes of melting and crystallization
The article lists the main problems of the theory of heredity and gives a classification of the memory and heredity phenomena in liquid alloys. Short-lived changes in the mutual arrangement of clusters in microareas, i.e. diffuse formations, arise due to relatively low external impacts and provide the short-term memory of melts within a few minutes or dozens of minutes. These are the effects of certain types of modification, for example, the modification of graphite inclusions presented in iron with magnesium or ferrosilicon. The shorter time period from the introduction of a modifier into the melt up to the crystallization is, the higher the effect. The effect of longer-term changes in the outer atomic layers of the clusters lasts for hours and is kept after one remelting. This kind of memory can be called as medium-term. Finally, the stable internal structure of the clusters ensures a constant connection between the liquid and solid states as well as preservation of the crystal lattice of the alloy after any number of remelts. This type of the long-term memory is, in fact, the heredity of metals and alloys.
Key words: Heredity, cluster, external impact, short-term, medium-term and long-term memory, modification.

Panfilov E.V., Gurtovoy D.A., Zakirov E.S. Production of heat-resistant exhaust manifolds at the Foundry of KAMAZ PTC
Information on the stages of mastering of heat-resistant iron with vermicular graphite to produce cast exhaust manifolds at the Foundry of KAMAZ PTC instead of previously used nodular iron is submitted in the article. The achieved results of bench tests of experimental parts are shown, the main parameters of the production process are described, as well as the results of the study of the metal microstructure and mechanical characteristics are given.

Ovcharenko P.G., Chekmyshev K.E., Tarasov V.V., Ovchinnikov V.S. The influence of the alloying compositions makeup on the surface layer parameters of castings from iron-carbon alloys
The characteristics of the surface alloying layers in castings made of steel (0,45% C) and chromium cast iron (10% Cr) are shown in terms of alloying composition containing ferrotitanium and elementary carbon in various combinations. Experimental castings were obtained by casting on consumable pattern with additional application of alloying compounds in the form of paint on the casting molds. The structure, makeup and relative wear resistance obtained materials are presented.

Hristosova V.Yu., Bondareva O.S. Influence of crystallization speed on microconstituent morphology of Ni-based super alloy
Currently, the technology of obtaining single-crystal gas turbine engine (GTE) blades is being actively developed by the method of directional crystallization (DC) using a single-crystal seed from Ni-W alloy with crystallographic orientation [001]. The effect of the crystallization rate on the macrostructure and microstructure of the cast blades of the first stage GTE from the ZhS30 nickel superalloy was investigated. It was found that the increasing of the crystallization rate leads to an increase in the dispersion of the alloy structural constituents. The maximum density of dendrites, an increased portion of globular carbides compared to carbides such as «Chinese characters» correspond to a crystallization rate of 3 mm/min. In addition, at this rate one can obtain single-crystal blades.

Vasenin V.I., Sharov K.V. Investigation of the work on the gating system with vertical-slit feeder
For theoretical and experimental study the gating system breaks on two parts: pouring basin-sprue-collector-well and vertical-slit feeder (VSF)-foundry mould. Liquid overeflouws from well across VSF in the mould. Time of filling the form of metal defines first part and necessary able her calculate with employment the Bernoulli equation. Method of calculating such system is develops. Experimentally installs what the time of filling the form of metal not depend on width VSF and goes across lower part maked 1/8…1/5 height of the VSF.

One of the development directions of gas-turbine engine blades nozzle segment production technology is resource saving improvement. In particular decreasing of metal utilization factor during nozzle segment casting is possible by increasing of castings quantity in one multi cavity mold. To solve this problem using of melting-casting units with high metal capacity and gating systems that allow filling the multi cavity mold is needed. In this work using mold filling and casting solidification process computer simulation the gating system for simultaneous pouring of no less than 5 blades nozzle segments was developed. With the purpose of gating system testing the multi cavity mold for 5 nozzle segments casting was poured on melting-casting unit ALD VIM20 using melting crucibles with 100 kg capacity that produced by own technology. The manufactured nozzle segments have no critical casting defects.
