Isagulov A.Z., Kvon S. S., Kulikov V.Yu., Zhumaev A.A. Improvement of composition of wear-resistant cast iron
It is determined that ball poking due to low toughness is the main cause of their destruction. Accordingly, the main measures associated with improving the material properties for the grinding balls should be aimed at improving the impact strength without significantly reducing the strength properties and wear resistance. It is proposed to introduce nickel, manganese and titanium into the composition of wear-resistant cast iron while reducing chromium content. The experienced material has a higher impact resistance due to its higher impact strength.

Volkov S.Y., Kolokoltcev V.M., Potapov M.G. Relationship between mechanical properties of wear-resistant cast irons and manganese steels
The paper presents the results of studies to identify the relationship between the main mechanical properties and wear resistance of complexly alloyed white cast irons and manganese steels. Adequate dependencies have been revealed that allow one to evaluate the wear resistance of the studied alloys without using laborious studies.

Matveev S.V., Fadeev V.N., Rakhuba E.M. Features of the transition layer in the manufacture of bimetallic castings
Aluminium alloys have high specific strength, surpassing many structural steels. However, in some cases their use is limited by the insufficient hardness of aluminium alloys, which does not exceed 150 HB for high-strength alloys of the 7XXX series. This is limits using aluminium parts in contact with steel elements such as shafts and bearings. The use of casted aluminium bimetallic parts with steel inserts allows solving this problem and ensuring reliable pressing of shafts and bearings into the parts. An important condition for this is to ensure a reliable connection between the aluminum casting and the steel inserts. This publication is devoted to the peculiarities of the formation of the transition layer when using galvanized steel liners.

Tsydenov A.G., Sokorev A.A. Technology of plasma-electrolytic oxidation of aluminum alloy parts
At the aluminum alloy plant (JSC ZAS) the method of high-voltage and high-frequency plasma-electrolytic oxidation (PEO) is being introduced and constantly improved, in the event of the appearance of special alloys, the properties of the PEO shell are corrected. In view of the existing cases of products, the PEO Laboratories of ZAS JSC undergo simultaneous pilot tests and small risks of emergency shutdown of treatment facilities.

Plisetskaya I.V., Chemov D.A., Sharipov O.O., Koltygin A.V. Study on the properties of the Mg-Nd-La-Zn-Zr system magnesium alloy
In this work, we studied the effect of the addition of lanthanum in the amount of 1…1,2 (wt.%) on the properties of the commercial ML10 alloy. The influence of lanthanum on the fluidity of the alloy, the peak aging time, and the corrosion rate were determined in comparison with the commercial ML10 alloy. It has been established that the lanthanum addition increase the fluidity and hardness of the alloy, have little effect on the peak aging time, and significantly reduce the corrosion resistance of the alloy compared to the ML10 alloy.

Dispersed iron-containing waste makes up the lion’s share of solid technological waste of machine-building enterprises. Most of this waste is still exported and buried in industrial landfills, while not only losing a significant amount of metal, but also causing serious damage to the environment. At the same time, the modern state of technology and technologies, in particular, technologies developed by Belarusian scientists for recycling dispersed metal waste, make it possible to efficiently and cost-effectively extract metals from most of the generated waste. This article presents the results of a study of the dust of shot-blasting cleaning of castings formed in steel and iron foundries, and proposals for its processing and recycling of the metal contained in it.

The results of the production of burnt models by means of additive manufacturing are presented. The effectiveness of surface treatment of polymer models with a wax-based separation coating before forming the front layers of a refractory ceramic mold has been established. It is shown that the surface quality of the castings obtained meets the requirements of regulatory documentation.

The results of mathematical modeling of the technology of manufacturing large-sized parts by selective laser melting (SLM) using AlSi10Mg powder to select the parameters of block supports during printing are presented. Modeling was carried out using the Ansys Additive program. The influence of various factors on the parameters of block supports (wall thickness, hatching size, etc.) and the values of maximum deformations has been established. Block support parameters have been optimized for the selected part.
