Marukovich E.I., Demchenko E.B. Casting solidification in vertical continuous casting with a closed level
A mathematical relationship has been proposed, that allows one to calculate the kinetics of solidification of the casting skin in vertical continuous casting with a closed level. It is shown, that the results of the calculation quite satisfactorily fit into the experimental data. It has been established, that the rate of casting skin solidification in the mold compared to vertical casting with an open level, changed slightly due to the small gas gap. It has been established, that the calculated skin thickness is sufficient to withstand the metallostatic pressure of the melt in a zone of an exit the casting from the mold.

Chaikin A.V., Chaikin V.A., Burdyuzha O.L., Turusov N.V. Optimization of 110G13L steel grades for railway crossovers and switch points at the railway switch plant in Murom
The article informs about a developed method of advancing the technological process of 110G13L steel smelting in order to improve mechanical properties of the steel, optimize quality group and operational reliability of critical railway castings, such as switch points and crossovers, as well as to reduce the cost of the steel. By using statistical and regression analyzes, the possibility of a three-direction comprehensive impact improving the technological process of 110G13L steel smelting using innovative materials developed by Metallurg SRO RAL was established. These directions include early slag induction during charge melting, increasing the efficiency of steel diffusion deoxidation and out-of-furnace treatment of melt. The implementation of the developed technology for 110G13L steel smelting for critical railway castings, combined with the optimization of the chemical composition of the steel and slag, allowed a significant increase in the number of the first group melts, from 29 to 71%.

Industrial design in the modern sense is a synthesis of technology, marketing, economics and art. The implementation of this approach has become the standard in developed countries. The domestic foundry production of artistic products has a rich reserve for highly artistic products. There is a production base and talented artists working in different styles. At the same time, the orientation of products to forms perfect by the standards of artists does not always coincide with consumer demand. To align the needs of customers and the direction of design thought is an urgent need of modernity. Today, the most dynamic and capacious market is the design of house territories. Cast decorative objects meet the most stringent environmental requirements for durability and functionality. An integrated approach to the organization of production will ensure the evolutionary development of the foundry business in Russia.

The results of a comprehensive assessment of working conditions at the workplaces of molding sites are presented, the factors of the production environment determining them are determined. The working conditions of the main professions of foundry workers in comparison with the standard values are considered. It is established that in a comprehensive assessment of the working conditions of workers at the molding sites of foundries, it is necessary to take into account the equipment and hand tools used, the duration of stay at the working equipment, the type of alloy being smelted and the nature of production.
