Takhirov A.A., Gushchin N.S. Effect of Antigraphitizing Elements on the Graphitization of Chromium-Nickel Iron
A negative effect of Mg, Ce, B, V, C and Cr on the graphitization of chromium-nickel iron was established. In order to neutralize it, the content of Si or other graphitizing elements in Cr-Ni iron must be increased.
Key words: chemical composition, chromium-nickel iron, spheroidal graphite, graphitizing and spheroidizing inoculation.

Feoktistov A.V., Shakirov K.M., Bedarev S.A., Prokhorenko A.V., Nikolayev A.S. Determination of Air Consumption in a Cupola by the Quantity of Fuel Burned
There is presented a method of determining air consumption in a cupola process by calculating the quantity of fuel burned per time unit, using experimental values of fuel carbon combustion rate or cupola capacity. Laboratory and production tests show that theactual air consumption is always 5.4-5.6% higher than estimated, which is due to air leaks through the control valves on the pipelines to the tuyeres, and gas leaks when opening metal and slag tap holes.
Key words: cupola, air consumption, quantity of carbon burned, capacity, gas composition.

Afanasyev V.K., Popova M.V. Development Prospects for Light Alloys with Low Thermal Expansion for Space Technology
The article presents results of investigations in the field of development of light alloys with a low temperature coefficient of linear expansion (TCLE) whose values do not exceed 8…10·10-6, K-1. Si-50%Al alloys were chosen as a base. Effect of treating charge silicon, melt with hydrogencontaining substances, and casting crystallization conditions on TCLE is shown. It was found that by selecting a complex of alloying elements, optimal conditions of melt treatment, and heat treatment, light alloys with invar behavior having a low TCLE of 6…7·10-6, K-1 in the range of 50…450°C can be produced.
Key words: light alloys, temperature coefficient of linear expansion, alloying elements, heat treatment.

Radchenko K.S., Yamshinsky M.M., Fyodorov G.Y. Effect of Microalloying and Inoculation on the Structure and Properties of Wear-Resistant Cr-Mn Iron
Usability and parameters of conditionable clothes for work in a warming production microclimate when repairing uncooled metallurgical equipment were investigated.
Key words: conditionable clothes, warming microclimate, metallurgicalequipment, "hot" repair, vortex effect.

Drozdov I.A., Demianenko Y.G., Zhuravel L.V. On the Effect of Nanostructural Heredity on Material Properties
There has been conducted an analysis of manufacture of superdispersed powders using nanotechnology processes, which are divided into nanostructurizing and nanodestructurizing ones. The nanostructural heredity obtained has an effective influence on the functional and service properties of materials (for example, gas-turbine engine blades, die tooling, etc.) having both homogeneous and heterogeneous structure.
Key words: directional crystallization, structure, nanostructurizing, nanodestructurizing, hightemperature strength, eutectic.

Kolesnikov M.S., Mironova Y.S., Novikov V.Y., Novikova I.Y. Effect of Cooling Crystallization Conditions of Castings from ?5?????Die Steel on the Distribution of Alloying Elements
The article discusses research of the influence of temperature conditions of crystallization on multiple versions of cooling of castings from stamping steel on the distribution of alloying elements. It was found out, that varying the temperature of crystallization conditions and subsequent cooling you can control the degree of segregation of alloying elements in castings and thereby manage the end-properties-press equipment.
Key words: the crystallization, alloying elements, stamping steel.

Fikssen V.N. Preparing, Refining and Pouring Aluminum Alloys under the Influence of Electromagnetic Forces
The article presents new, developed at FTIMS NANU, technologies of preparation and pouring of Al alloys using a magnetodynamic unit and an electromagnetic stirrer.
Key words: electromagnetic forces, dosing mixer, foam ceramic filter, refining, low-pressure die casting.

Khoroshilov O.N., Ponomarenko O.I., Kipensky A.V., Naniy V.V., Kulichenko V.V. Quality Improvement of Continuous-Cast Copper Alloy Billets
Fault probability is a crucial parameter in forecast of mechanical properties of continuously-cast blanks. It has been found during experimental tests that at production of such blanks the reduction of the fault probability parameter, described by Bailey-Norton and Robotnov-Kachanov equation, can be provided by improvement of technological process. An electrical drive based on a motor with rolling rotor was used in continuous casting machine to provide required technological parameters.
Key words: continuous casting, copper alloys, damageability parameter.

Ivanova L.Kh., Kolotilo Y.V., Kalashnikova A.Y., Zakharova T.V. Heat Treatment of Cast Iron Forming Rolls
The authors have developed conditions of strengthening heat treatment (HT) of forming rolls to lower residual stresses, enhance the strength and special (wear resistance and heat resistance) properties.
Key words: forming roll, heat treatment, working layer, wear resistance, residual stresses.

Veres I.A., Platonov Y.A., Yamshinsky M.M., Fyodorov G.Y. Thermomechanical Treatment of High-Temperature Chromium-Aluminum Steels
The authors investigated the effect of thermomechanical treatment (TMT) on the properties of high-temperature Cr-Al steels - scale resistance, heat resistance and growth stability, and also determined the possibility of making ingots for rolling from that steel.
Key words: corrosive medium, high-temperature strength, thermal fatigue defects, thermomechanical treatment, cracking.

Mukhachova T.L. Oxycarbonitration of Structural Steels by the Anode Heating Method
There was investigated the structure of structural steels after their saturation with nitrogen, carbon and oxygen under the conditions of anode heating using metallographic and X-ray diffraction analyses, as well as by the method of nuclear proton back-scattering. There are proposed mathematical models of diffusion of nitrogen, carbon and oxygen at anode oxycarbonitration, taking into account the interaction of the diffusants.
