Polieshchyk M.A., Skripnik S.V., Shevtsov A.V. The treatment high quality billets by the method of electro-slag crucible melting
There are examples of several types of billets that was produced from metallic waste by Elektroslag crucible melting (ESCM) method. Stress-strain properties of this billets are given combatively with standard requirements to the forged metal. The ESCM based technologies created in Pathon’s Electro-Welding Institute allow to achieve high economical result and competition ability of billets producing process. Also such technologies allow the effective utilization of high quality metallic waste and lead to reducing of costs, material, energetic and labor spends and help to create the closed cycle of production.
Keywords: Elektroslag crucible melting, the high quality billets, consumable electrode, liquid slag, casting mould.

Kotenkov P.V., Astafyev V.V., Brodova I.G., Popova E.A., Yablonskikh T.I., Pastukhov E.A. Influence of Composition and Structure of Inoculating Phases on the Inoculation Effect of Al-4%Cu Alloy
Experimental Al–Sc–Zr, Al–Sc–Ti and Al–Ti–Zr master alloys with complex aluminides containing refractory metals are obtained by using the Al–2% Sc, Al–2% Zr and Al–3% Ti binary alloys. The data on the structure, morphology, and modifying ability of different inoculators with cubic structure L12 are provided.
Key words: Aluminum, alloy, inoculator, grain, hardness.

Nikitin K.V., Finkelshtein A.B., Chikova O.A., Timoshkin I.Y. Interrelation of Structure and Properties of AlSi20 Master Alloy in the Solid-Liquid-Solid System
Influence of structure of an initial charge alloy Al-20wt.%Si on structure of ligature AlSi20 after single remelting and crystallization with an identical speed of cooling 20°C/s is investigated. Measurement of viscosity of melts, received from the coarse-crystalline and the fine-crystalline charge alloys, in a mode of heating to 1350°C and the subsequent cooling confirmed a conclusion, that melts are translators of structural information.
Key words: An initial charge alloy, ligature, microstructure, crystals of primary silicon, melt, viscosity, structural information, heterogeneity, polydispersion, monodispersion.
