Chumanov I.V., Amosova Y.E., Sergeyev D.V., Chumanov V.I. On the possibility of use of waste steelmaking slag
Different ways of use of final steelmaking slags. Describes the process of liquid-phase recovery of slag. Conducted research and experiments on the recovery of slag dump. Given the images of the microstructures of the obtained metal samples. A method is presented for obtaining low-alloyed pig iron using waste slag. Based on this method the obtained experimental ingots with the preliminary introduction of a magnetic component and nonmagnetic impurities.

Dorofeyev G.A., Komarov A.A. About changes of balance of carbon in troops of synthicom in arc-steel-steel fuel
The process of electric melting in an arc steel smelting furnace of 20 tons of synthicom CK15 grade was studied, an analogy was made with melting of 20 tons of cast iron with a carbon content of 4.5 percent. An indicator of the value of the consumption of synthicom in the case of replacement of cast iron with an identical amount of carbon introduced by these materials into a metal bath during the melting of the metal scrap is calculated. The positive sides of active oxidation and removal of carbon from the bath are determined and the negative effects of excessive oxidation of carbon at the concentration of carbon in the metal to the beginning of refining below the level of 0.10%.

Minenko G.N. Electric action on the heterogenic processes in modifying foundry alloys
The article shows the influence of electrical impact on the processes of modifying casting alloys. The change in the mechanical properties of alloys and their structuralsensitive characteristics is revealed. Changes in heterogeneous processes under the influence of an electric field are described.

Soyfer V.M. Application of monolithic lining of arc furnace walls
The article describes the experience of using monolithic lining of arc furnace walls in foundries, the advantages of such lining over brick lining are shown. The technology of making monolithic lining is given.

Marukovich E.I., Ilyushenko V.M., Duvalov P. Yu., Anisovich A.G., Baranovsky K.E. Chromium cast iron alloyed with niobium
Influence of alloying with niobium on the phase composition, structure and mechanical properties of eutectic and hypereutectic chromium cast iron are studied. It is established that niobium doping increase the wear resistance by 30% and the bending resistance by 20%. The change of mechanical properties can be attributed to the dispersion of carbide phase as well as to the increase of austenite amount in structure.

Komarov O.S., Rozenberg E.V., Baranovsky K.E. The management structure of high-chromium cast iron through a complex modification
The model for transition of transgranular ingots structure of high chrome cast iron to equiaxial structure was developed. It was established that complex modification by surface active and chemically active components eliminates transcrystallization, grinds the primary and eutectic carbides and increases the impact hardness of the cast model as well as change the structure of eutectic colonies.

Ri Hosen, Gostishchev V.V., Ri E.H., Khimukhin S.N., Kim E.D., Medneva A.V. Development of the synthesis technology of doped nickel aluminides from oxide compoumds by aluminothermic method
The article speaks about the regularities of the formation of structural constituents of nickel alloys and their microhardness depending on the charge composition consisting of oxide compounds, and the amount of a reducing agent, aluminum powder being used in this case. The most effective alloys in terms of the increasing degree of microhardness are such alloys as Ni- Al-Cr-Mo-W (7007 MPa) and Ni-Al-Cr-V-Mo (7914 MPa) The perspective application of the synthesized intermetallic doped alloys as a material for making coatings by means of electrospark alloying on steel 30 is shown. The obtained alloys have already been used as alloying additives in Bronite bronze grades 6.5-1.5.

Titov V.I. Development of methods for analyzing the alloys of Ti-Zr, Ti-Mo-V-Al
As a result of carried out scientific research and experimental work, it has been shown that high contents of zirconium and molybdenum can be determined in titanium alloys of Ti-Zr and Ti-Mo-V-Al systems. For the contents of 10…20% molybdenum in titanium alloys above the above systems, a differential-photometric method has been developed. It is established that the titanium matrix does not affect the magnitude of the signal in the determination of molybdenum, which made it possible to construct a calibration curve at the last stage of the analysis on a standard molybdenum solution. The result of the research is the developed methods for determination of zirconium (40%) and molybdenum (10…20%) in titanium alloys of Ti-Zr and Ti-Mo-V-Al systems.

Described is a technology of continuous casting-pressing nonferrous alloys, and schemes of equipment for its implementation are given. The process advantages when used in small batch production are pointed out.

Malinov L.S. Nontype regimes of thermal and straining-thermal treatments enhancing steel properties
The data of the author's work with the staff and other researchers showing the possibility of increasing the mechanical properties of structural steels of different structural classes and purposes due to their internal resource realized by atypical regimes of heat and heat-deformation treatments, that creating alloys structure in which along with martensite, lower bainite, ferrite, carbides, etc. present metastable austenite is shown.
