Goncharenko Y.S., Kornysheva I.S. Aluminum Alloy Castings. Research, Materials, Technologies
The article presents characteristics of modern cast aluminum alloys for aircraft industry, which can also find application in others industries, as well as technological processes of manufacturing and treating castings from those alloys. Shown are peculiarities of the structure of modern cast aluminum alloys. Principles of formation of regulated structural and phase state of castings are given. Outlined are promising development trends, and fields of application for cast aluminum alloys. Makarenko K.V., Kuzovov S.S., Lesyunina O.A. Mechanical Aspects of Hot Tearing in Castings
The various factors influencing of a hot tearing in steel castings are considered. Presented sample piece of a hot tear from a position of its interrelation with dendritically crystallization processes. It is proved that one of principal causes of formation of the given defect are features of geometry of casting. Keywords: steel, casting, defect, hot tear, solidification, dendrites.

Doroshenko V.S. Mathematical Design of Frame-Cellular Castings
In the study of the limiting possibilities of the casting process in terms of resource addressed the question of what solid-state design can best fill the space of the mold. The possibility of designing patterns for the Lost Foam Casting process according to mathematical concepts and description of examples of castings frame cellular patterns has been shown. Belikov O.A. Structural Analysis of Single-Station Automatic Molding Units The article discusses the kinematics of movable elements of single-station automatic molding units (MU), including the connection of movements of sand filling and compacting units, movements of molding boxes and half-molds (HM), as well as those of pattern tooling during the consecutive making of a half-mold of one mold, and when changing to the production of a new mold.
