Boldyrev D.A., Ivanov S.V., Popova L.I., Safronov N.N., Davydov S.V. Production of vermicular graphite iron in castings using ladle inoculation by the method top pouring PSMg with a lower Mg/rare earth metal contents
It is asserted that in spite of being functionally simpler the flow chart of ladle treatment of iron melt to produce compact shapes of graphite top pouring has been finding a wide practical application. A comprehensive analysis showed the instability of its operation when using inoculants for technologically improved processes (sandwich process, ladle with lid. It is shown that the achievement of stable structural-andmechanical properties in castings from vermicular graphite iron produced using the top pouring scheme is ensured in complex with using increased consumption of more cost-efficient inoculants with a lower Mg/rare earth metal content.

In article presents the results of researches of the properties of sand-clay mixtures. It was investigated the effect of various amounts muscovite at mechanically activated bentonite clay Chernogorskiy deposit that used as binder in sand-clay mixtures for casting steel and iron. The studies revealed that the different amount of muscovite in clay increases the strength characteristics. Was a founded change of strength and gas permeability sand-clay mixtures depending from concentration of water-clay suspension (WCS) and muscovite.

Discusses the impact of temperature, size distribution of molding sand for making molds and cores by Alfa set-process. It is shown that goodnaturedly mixtures it is necessary to regenerate, and then check for the presence of potassium and sodium, as well as the change in mass on ignition.

Sokolov A.V., Isayeva Y.I. Use of PepsetTM-process to produce critical castings from Al- and Mg-alloys
Shown is the possibility of using the cold-setting sand in PepsetTM-process to produce castings from Al and Mg alloys. This mold- and core-making technology has been adopted in the casting production process at PAO KUZNETSOV.

Porosity and mechanical properties of castings from high-temperature alloys produced by centrifugal casting are discussed. The calculated rotation speed of the ingot mold conduces to production of a sound, virtually pore-free casting structure.
