Marukovich E.I., Stetsenko V.Y. About solutions of scientific problem of modifying of the microstructure of cast alloys
It is shown that the nonmetallic switching on which is formed when processing metal melts of cast iron and became modifiers, are not crystallization centers of graphite and primary microstructure of castings. As the main demodifiers serve the dissolved surface-active elements and gases. For a solution of the problem of modifying of a microstructure of cast alloys it is necessary to accept that crystallization centers of crystals of phases are the crystalline educations consisting of nanocrystals of phases, and the role of modifiers comes down to lowering in a metal melt of concentration of the dissolved surface-active elements and gases and (or) to formation of the moistened substrates on which process of gas generation and deleting gas bubbles will be most preferable.

Moiseev Yu.V., Tverdokhvalov V.A., Kudriavchenko N.A. Nondestructive control of hardness and depth of the hardened layer of liner of "KAMAZ" engine
The results of control of hardness and thickness of hardened by high frequency currents layer of cast-iron liner of the "KAMAZ" engine using an improved method of magnetic coercitimetry, which consists in measuring of the residual magnetization field over the zone of contact local magnetization of the studied surface when it is pointwise or linearly magnetized by a pole of a permanent magnet, are given in this article.

Vasenin V.I., Bogomyagkov A.V. Investigation of the work on the gating system with two sprues
It is defined theoretical and experimental what Bernoullis equation is applied in calculation of the multiple-gate runner system with two sprues (with two sources of energy). But Bernoullis equation is derived for the flow with constant consumption of liquid that is to the gating system with one feeder and one sprue.

Belobrov .., Karpenkova .L., Belobrov L.., Belobrov .., Belobrov .L. About the incompatibility of sand-clay and liquid-glass technologies at molding
In case of the combined usage ofthe sand-clay and liquid-glass mixtures in the same foundry, the first one is contaminated with the alkaline component (Na2O, NaOH) contained in the fresh and wastedliquid-glass mixtures. As a result, the quality of the sand-clay mixture is sharply deteriorated. The present situation with liquid-glass and sand-clay mixtures at the foundries of Turboatom(Kharkov) and Uralkhimmash (Ekaterinburg) is described. The permissible values of Na2O in asand-clay mixture are given. Typical cases and favorable combinations of sand-clay and liquid-glass technologies are defined depending on the content of Na2O in mixtures. The analysis of an influence of different variants of technologies on the performances of sand-clay mixtures is made. Recommendations on rational combination of two technologies in practiceare given.

Gruzman V.. About a burned in sand in steel castings
The burned-in sand is the consequence of the surface erosion of a sand mould; it is located deep in the surface layer. Specific strength of the binder and the degree of its distribution over each grain of sandprovides successful erosion resistance. For the drastic prevention of formation of the burned-in sand, special anti-erosion coatings are required, the quality of which is estimated not by the refractoriness of the filler, but by the depth of their penetration into the surface layer of the mould.

Batyshev .I., n E.B., Batyshev .. Horizontal continuous casting of modified iron
Information on the features of horizontal continuous casting of iron, crystallizers design, quality, structure and properties of the produced billets, and areas of their application is given. The main attention is paid to the production of continuously cast billets from microalloyed and modified irons, such as grey irons, vermicular graphite ironsand nodular graphite irons.

Iakovlev E.I., Berestevich A.I., Sobolev A.A., Zhabrev S.B. Production of cast large-sized blades of gas turbine plants with regulated equiaxial structures
The available technology of casting of large-sized blades for gas turbine units leads to the formation of coarse-grained and columnar structures with increased micro-porosity, which significantly reduces the service characteristics of blades. A radically new casting method involving the two-stage pouring-in technology was used in this work to produce large-sized cast blades of GTU from TsNK-7P, ChS88U-VI and IN738LC corrosion-resistant superalloys with the regulated equiaxial structure and a lower level of micro-porosity. Cooling rates to form the regulated microstructure of blades were specified.

Marshirov V.V., Marshirova L.E., Marshirov I.V. The application of numerical simulation for predicting the structure in the alloy of the castings
A model that calculates the rates of cooling of liquid metal over the casting section at the liquidus temperature by the finite difference method is created and programmed. By the cooling rates, the empirical formula determines the grain size. The following process parameters are taken into account: casting and molding materials, cast and mold dimensions, their initial temperatures, and the coefficient of contact thermal resistance.

Khudokormov D.A., Nikolaev A.S., Latypov A.Kh. Application of digital control technologies in the production of castings of aircraft
The analysis of material losses in the production of castings of responsible purpose. The variant of the organization of production of castings with the use of digital technologies of production and quality control is offered. The proposed version is compared with the existing version of the organization of production. The advantages and disadvantages of the main types of control measuring machines and their suitability for the control of castings and tooling of complex configuration are considered.
