Andreev V.V., Nuraliev N.F. Peculiarities of the cold resistance of nodular ferritic iron
The conditions and possibilities of manufacturing castings from nodular ferritic iron of VCh 35 grade were considered taking into account the requirements of GOST 7293-85 Standard in terms of plastic characteristics (elongation and impact strength at 20°C and – 40°C). Recommendations on the chemical composition of the iron were made with the purpose to meet the requirements of the standard.
Key words: High-strength nodular ferritic iron, structure, mechanical properties, cold resistance.

Shakhnazarov K.Y. About the relationship between the extrema of fluidity and the dynamics of the linear shrinkage of non-ferrous alloys with phase equilibrium diagrams
In the presented article, based on the analysis of experimental data taken from the monograph of A.M. Korolkov «Casting Properties of Metals and Alloys», a pattern has been established allowing to link anomalies of viscosity and linear shrinkage of coloured alloys with phase equilibrium diagrams. For the first time, the concept of a phase equilibrium diagram is introduced as a concentration dependence of qualitative changes in crystallization intervals, which makes it possible to link with the phase equilibrium diagram the extremes of fluid flow and linear shrinkage of commercially used coloured alloys, which cannot be explained by features of the phase composition or structure.
Key words: Phase equilibrium diagram, crystallization, liquidus, solidus, fluidity, linear shrinkage, eutectic, melt.

Chechushkin O.P., Luts A.R. Influence of the method of smelting a small crystal ligature AlTi3 on the neutralization of magnesium compounds in the castings of the AK12M2 alloy
The effect of AlTi3 fine-crystal ligature modification, obtained because of a combination of direct fusion technology and self-propagating high-temperature synthesis, on improving the quality of castings made of AK12M2 alloy, is considered. Because of the introduction of the ligature obtained by the proposed technology, ?-Al grain size grinding is observed, primary silicon crystals in the interdendritic zones are prevented from growing, and inclusions of inclusions of magnesium formed by the intermetallic eutectic phases of crystallization origin are neutralized.
Key words: Master alloy, intermetallic phases, self-propagating high-temperature synthesis, morphology.

Koltygin A.V., Rizhsky A.A.,Plisetskaya I.V., Bazhenov V.E., Belov V.D., Yudin V.A. The domestic materials application in the production of sand molds and cores by Binder Jet 3D-printing The foreign and domestic materials used for sand foundry molds production by binder jetting 3D printing parts were compared to determine the possibility of replacing foreign materials by domestic. The properties of quartz sands supplied by Strobel Quarzsand GmbH (Germany) GS09 RP and Sibelco Rus LLC, Nebolchinskoye quarry management (Russia) were studied and compared. It has been established that domestic sand is almost completely as German sand in quality, but is inferior on dust contamination. It was found, that samples made from domestic sand and binder have lower properties compared to samples from foreign materials. However, the studied domestic materials have a sufficient level of properties for use in industrial 3D printing and can be a substitute for foreign materials.
Key words: Binder jetting 3D printing, domestic raw materials, quartz sand, binder, properties, tensile strength, gas permeability, friability.

Marukovich E.I., Belykh A.Yu., Kharkov V.A., Sazonenko I.O., Kovalev A.M. Obtaining products from antifriction chromium-nickel cast iron using lost foam casting Process conditions and structure of castings manufactured from antifriction chromium nickel iron by lost foam casting were presented. It was shown that it is necessary to have the optimum chemical composition of the chromium nickel iron and to use pure charge materials (without backstocks) for melting in order to obtain a desired structure of castings.
Key words: Antifriction cast iron, chromium-nickel cast iron, lost foam casting method.

Doroshenko V.S. About casting protective and wear-resistant structures made of isothermal hardened high-strength cast iron
An overview of the technology of casting protective and wear-resistant structures during the design of their foundry from isothermically tempered cast iron serves as a justification for the application of new technical solutions and materials that have a mechanism of hardening and adaptation of the material to external deformation. New cell castings are designed with a simplified assembly process for single casting models. Casting technology in combination with heat treatment is based on the use of Lost Foam casting.
Key words: Casting, ammunition, armament, cellular casting, ductile iron, bainitic cast iron, austenite, ausferritic cast iron, Lost Foam casting, evaporated patterns.

Batyshev K.A. Densification and hardening of aluminum alloy castings
The data on hot isostatic pressing of aluminum alloy castings are presented. HIP contributes to an increase in their density, but a conventional heat treatment is required after it. In addition, data on microarc oxidation of the surfaces of aluminum alloy castings resulting in an improvement in their appearance and properties are given.
Key words: Аluminum alloys, castings, quality, isostatic pressing, density, surface hardening, microarc oxidation.

Stetsenko V.Yu., Baranov K.N., Gutev A.P. Use of jet crystallizer vibration to improve the quality of silumin casting
The influence of jet crystallizer vibration to the quality of castings from silumin AK18 is investigated. It is shown that the vibration of the jet crystallizer in the horizontal plane allows to eliminate the gas-shrink porosity, grind the microstructure and significantly improve the quality of the outer surface of the castings.
Key words: Jet crystallizer, vibration, silumin, microstructure, casting, modification.

Chaykin A.V., Volnov I.N., Chaykin V.A., Vdovin K.N. Simulation of the non-metal particles removal process in the FLOW-3D software
The processing of steel, iron, and non-ferrous alloys with carbonate-based refining mixtures causes formation of carbon-dioxide gas streams. The refining abilities of emerged gases by flotation of non-metal particles was confirmed with the FLOW-3D software.
Key words: Modelling, refining, flotation, non-metal particles, FLOW-3D®.
