Marukovich E.I., Demchenko E.B. Melt hydrodynamics in vertical continuous casting with a closed level
The nature of the phenomena of heat and mass transfer occurring during vertical continuous casting with a closed level of solid, hollow and hollow measured castings has been studied. The velocities are calculated and the modes of movement of convective flows along the solidification front in various casting zones are determined. A quantitative assessment of the degree of influence of convective flows on the hardening of the casting skin is given.
Keyword:s Continuous casting, closed level, casting, solidification, modeling, convective currents, shell melting.
Nikitin K.V., Timoshkin I.Yu., Akishin S.A., Novikov A.P. Improving the quality of castings made of AMg6lch alloy based on an integrated approach
The results of researches on improving the quality of AMg6lch alloy castings when casting into the sand-clay molds are presented. It was established that it is possible to improve significantly the quality of AMg6lch alloy castings when casting into the sand-clay molds due to the use of an integrated approach, including simulation of casting processes when filling the molds and modification of the alloy taking into account the main laws of the structural heredity.
Keywords: Aluminum alloys, heredity, modeling of casting processes, modification.
Ivanov D.I., Kozhukhov A.A. The results of industrial tests of the grate of the kiln carts from the modification of steel 40kh24n12sl, manufactured according to the experimental technology
In the Russian mining industry, conveyor kiln machines are widely used for the production of high-temperature-strengthened oxidized pellets. The most important and expensive part of the kiln machine is the fire grate, which consists of grates and takes on the main heat load. On the kiln machine of Stoilensky GOK JSC, the fire grate consists of more than 110,000 grates. The authors carried out research towards the modernization of steel 40Kh24N12SL and the technology of manufacturing grates, which made it possible to increase the operational life of domestic-made grates to at least 3 years of continuous operation. This is confirmed by industrial tests and the in production of technology into production and partial import substitution has already been completed.
Keywords: Grids of kiln carts, intergranular corrosion, shrinkage cavity, warping, fracture, cracking, heat resistance, industrialtests, import substitution.
Ivanova V.A. Foundry – metallurgy or engineering?
The article analyses legislative and normative-methodological documentation in order to determine whether foundry production belongs to a certain industry. The authors found that there is no standardisation of definitions of such terms as «metallurgy», «machine building», «foundry». The analysis of normative and methodological documentation regulating the activities and work allowed to conclude that foundry production does not belong to metallurgy, but can be a sub-branch of mechanical engineering. It is necessary to update the All-Russian classifiers in the part of classification of castings of parts: in OK 001-2014 in grouping 77.150 «Non-ferrous metal products» to include the object «Castings from alloys based on non-ferrous metals», in OK 034-2014 in group 24 «Basic metals» – the object «Castings».
Keywords: Foundry, metallurgy, engineering, casting, All-Russian Classifier, professional standard.
Lazarenkov A.M., Sadokha M.A. Comprehensive assessment of the working conditions of workers in the core sections of foundries
The working conditions at the workplaces of foundry workers when performing work on core sites, production factors determining them are considered. The results of studies of the parameters of the working conditions of the considered professions of foundry workers in comparison with the standard values are presented. It is established that in a comprehensive assessment of the working conditions of workers in the core sections of foundries, it is necessary to take into account the duration of stay at the working equipment, the equipment and hand tools used, the type of alloy being smelted (steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals) and the nature of the production.
Keywords: Foundry, foundry, core section, professions, noise, vibration dustiness, gas contamination, microclimate parameters, nature of production.
