Issagulov A.Z., Kvon Sv.S., Kulikov V.Yu., Tulegenova Sh.N. Influence of technological modes for smelting quasi-high entropine alloys on their mechanical properties
The paper presents the results of a study of some properties of quasi-high entropy alloys (QHEA) based on the Cr-Co-Ni-Mn-Fe system (Cantor's alloy), smelted with partial use of ferroalloys. The use of ferroalloys in the charge was used to simplify and reduce the cost of smelting technology. Using pure cobalt and nickel, as well as ferrochrome, ferroniobium and ferromanganese, prototypes of alloys were obtained that have higher wear resistance, hardness, and tensile strength compared to Cantor's alloy. The prototypes have a fairly low fluidity, however, when the melt release temperature from the furnace is increased to 1700?C, the fluidity increases by ~ 25%.

Comparison of classical methods for calculating gate systems for castings obtained by injection molding with a new technique based on solving the inverse thermal problem, using the example of thin-walled extended casting. Modeling of the melt filling process of the mold for each method of calculating gate systems, comparison of the results obtained by the parameter of melt overheating losses when filling the mold cavity and by the probability of formation of casting defects.

The problem of the use of low-grade charge materials to produce blanks from beryllium bronze is described. The quality of the beryllium bronze ingot was evaluated by the yield ratio and density. Redesign of the melt-casting unit with the use of a regenerative producer gas and a graphite crumb cover allowed us to enlarge the use of low-grade charge materials for the production of ingots.

The main reasons for the decrease in the durability of the side frames of trucks of freight wagons have been studied. The causes of crack formation under conditions of exceeding regulatory stresses in operation have been identified.

Zenkin R.N. Recycling of cast iron bucket residues according to the method of separation and processing for subsequent remelting
It has been shown that metallurgy produces man-made wastes, not all of them cannot be recycled in a traditional way. There is a method for recycling of ladle residues, when large-sized steel scrap (wall thickness up to 3000 mm) is cut with a torch of combustible gas under a working pressure of 0.05...0.07 MPa and liquid oxygen supplied from the tank to the evaporator. The mixture of gases under pressure up to 1.2...1.6 MPa is supplied from the evaporator through the distribution valves into the cutter, which creates a narrow torch with a temperature of 1320...1420 C to be directed to the place of contact with the metal at a distance of 150...170 mm (to warm up during 14...18 s). A steel wire with a diameter of up to 8 mm is fed into it to create a hot metal heel and after that the distance of the flame supply is reduced down to 40...50 mm and cutting is carried out.

This paper presents the results of a study of the thermal conductivity of casting molds for lost wax casting based on fused quartz by the laser flash method. Conclusions are drawn about the differences in the value of thermal conductivity for different manufacturers of refractory material. The prospects of using the obtained data in programs for modeling foundry processes are noted.

The article describes a method to analyze the heat treatment processes of steel parts and predict mechanical properties and microstructure based on models implemented into the PoligonSoft computer simulation software. A technique for adjusting the modeling tool to the conditions of the existing heat treatment facility and overview of the computational study are demonstrated using the case of computer-aided development of quenching and tempering technology for new part.
