Marukovich E.I., Stetsenko V.Y., Stetsenko A.V. Crystallization of white cast iron
Crystallization of white cast irons is a nanostructured process in which iron and graphite nanocrystals play a major role. Dendritic microcrystals of austenite are not solid solutions of carbon atoms in the crystal lattice of ? -Fe. During crystallization of white cast irons, oxygen and hydrogen atoms in melts are demodifying elements that reduce the dispersion of austenite and cementite microcrystals. Molecular hydrogen prevents the dendrites from branching, which leads to demodification of the structure of white cast irons. Modifying elements of white cast irons reduce concentration of oxygen and hydrogen atoms in their melts. The centers of crystallization of white cast irons are nanostructured formations of austenite and cementite.
Keywords: White cast iron, crystallization, structure, nanocrystals, austenite, cementite, hydrogen, oxygen.

Boldyrev D.A. On intensification of cast iron smelting using natural limestone
The work is devoted to the problem of increasing the efficiency of foundry production, in particular, increasing the efficiency (intensification) of electric arc furnace smelting of gray and high-strength cast irons for castings by in-furnace processing of melts with natural limestone (crushed stone) СаСО3. The positive results of iron smelting using natural limestone (crushed stone) СаСО3 in the iron foundry of JSC AVTOVAZ are given, based on which this material was introduced into the main technology.

Khudokormov D.A., Chernenko A.V., Nalimov A.Yu., Osipov V.A. Use of MR20 refining modifier for cast iron
The article describes the use of the MP20 modifier when melting cast iron in an induction furnace. The effect of MP20 on the assimilation of carbon by the melt is shown. The process of chemical interaction of the MP20 modifier with iron oxides in contaminated steel scrap is confirmed by the known chemical reactions that occur between the active elements of the modifier and oxygen. The influence of the MP20 modifier on the formation and properties of induction melting slag is considered.

Minenko G.N. Influence of electric field on steel modification processes 20L
Diagram of experimental installation for measurement of specific electric resistance of steel melt is given. Dependence of specific electric resistance of steel on physical state of 20L steel melt is given. Experimental data on variation of electric resistance of modified steel melt under the influence of electric field treatment are presented. Maximum change of strength properties after treatment with electric field during modification of cast steel is shown. Conditions of occurrence of electro-microstructural effect in steel melt under action of electric field are considered. It is possible to predict strength properties of cast steel due to determination of specific electric resistance of steel melt.

Kulikov V.Yu., Baiseyitova E.A., Kvon S.S., Kovalyov P.V., Tulegenova Sh.N. Examination of samples smelted using steel chip briquettes ShKh15
Currently, when processing castings from ball bearing steel, dust-like waste is ShKh15 formed. Dust-like wastes were briquetted using bentonite clay and liquid glass. Melting using 30% briquettes in the batch showed that the obtained samples had greater dispersion and structure uniformity. At the same time, a minimum number of pores is observed, the hardness increases by 10%, and the compressive strength also slightly increases.
Keywords: Briquette, casting, microstructure, mechanical properties.

Verin A.S. Carbides in Ni3Al obtained by CDS and DDS methods
The works were shown that alloying by Ce and Co in micro quantity this intermetallid has a big affinity with obtaining density pack of carbides based on Nb and W under crystallization by conventional directional crystallization (CDS) and dosed directional crystallization (DDS) methods. This process is going at high velocity crystallization by CDS method (about 0.6…1 mm/min.). The DDS process is some complex because necessary to alternate pouring metal from vertical direction to lateral.

Trapeznikov N.V., Rozhkov M.Yu., Shumkov A.A., Elokhov R.T. Features of structural transformations in heat-resistant alloys treated with Rare Earth metals
The article considers the results of industrial testing of a method for modifying the Heat-resistant nickel alloy type of HR with the combined use of modifiers of the second kind, which includes hafnium and zirconium. A method for introducing a modifying additive into the melt has been tested. When analyzing the results obtained, it was found that the modifier, which includes hafnium in an amount of 0.05% and zirconium in an amount of 0.06% of the charge weight, contributes to the uniform distribution of the carbide phase throughout the casting volume in terms of the absence of closed contours along grain boundaries due to changes in its morphology. The primary carbides in the alloy have a globular shape with the absence of lamellar carbides. The size and shape of the macro structure of the alloy when modified with hafnium and zirconium does not change in comparison with the macrostructure of the casting made according to a serial technological process. The content of chemical elements in the alloy after modification corresponds to the normative values.
Keywords: Gafnium, zirconium, modification, carbide, mechanical properties, dendrite, intermetallic compound, liquation, macrostructure, microstructure.

Abildina А.R., Кvon S.S., Kulikov V.Yu., Okishev K.Yu. Influence of Mo on some properties of a quasi-high-entropyalloyof the Co-Cr-Fe-Ni-Mn-Nb system
The effect of molybdenum content on the structure, hardness, and fluidity of quasi-high-entropy alloys (QHEA) of the Co-Cr-Fe-Ni-Mn-Nb system was investigated in this paper. The fluidity was estimated using the spiral sample method. The results showed that adding molybdenum in concentrations of 5-15% significantly increases the hardness of the alloys, changes the nature of the structure, and slightly reduces the fluidity of the melt. With a content of 5-10% Mo, the fluidity changes insignificantly, but with a concentration of 15% Mo, the fluidity drops by about 12%. The data obtained must be taken into account when producing castings of complex configuration from this QHEA.
Key words:: Guasi-high-entropyalloy, fluidity, molybdenum, hardness, structure.

Levin D.O., Sulitsin A.V., Brusnitsyn S.V., Usov D.A. Investigation of nickel content on structure and properties of cast brass
In paper the effect of nickel content on the structure, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of cast brass has been studied. It was found that with an increase in the nickel content in the brass composition, the proportion of the ?-phase in the structure increases from 60 to 76%. An assessment of the corrosion resistance of brass showed that with an increase in the nickel content in the composition of brass, the depth of dezincification increases significantly. At low nickel contents up to 1.0 wt.% the passivation effect is not ensured and corrosion processes occur due to low hydrogen evolution overvoltage. The results of mechanical property tests indicate a decrease in strength and an increase in plastic properties of brass with an increase in the nickel content in the alloy.
Key words: Brass, microstructure, phase composition, corrosion resistance, mechanical properties.
