Naidek V.L. et al. Once Again on the Issues of Theory and Practice of Bainitic High-strength Irons
There are indicated the achievements in metal science concerning bainite cast irons. The main directions for researches in this field are chosen, namely: thermodynamics of processes of initiation and growing of bainite phase; correlation between diffusion and shift mode at initiation and growing of bainite phase; functions of the dispersed inclusions, grain boundaries, and tensions at the above-mentioned processes; mechanism of the initiation of carbides in the α-phase; mechanism of transformation of the γ-phase supersaturated by carbon to ferrite and cementite at long-term holding, etc. It is shown that task for widening of application of bainite cast irons in the machine-building should be solving by metallurgists and constructors.

Shumikhin V.S. et al. Peculiarities of Volume-Amor-phized and Nonstructural Materials
Necessary and sufficient conditions for obtaining volume-amorphized alloys are presented. Influence of time of amorphous alloy heat treatment on the amount of the nano-structural component in the glass-like matrix has been established. It has been shown that the strength characteristics are considerably enhanced with the increase of the nano-structural phase in the alloy and reach a maximum at its content of about 60%.

Shipitsyn S.Y. et al. Casting Properties of Structural and Cast Steels with Nitride Strengthening
Microalloying with nitrogen and vanadium not only ensures radical improvement of the physical-and-mechanical and service properties of steels of various functionality, but also improves the quality of castings made from them by improving metal casting properties.

Gavrilyuk V.P. et al. Structure and Properties of Fe-Cr-Cu-C System Alloys Additionally Alloyed with Al, Pb, Sn
The influence of Al, Pb, and Sn on initial structure of Fe-Cr-Cu-Ti-C cast alloys modified by Ti and also on their wear rate and formation of secondary structure under dry and boundary friction is investigated. The alloying of cast Fe-Cr-Cu-C-Ti alloy leads to modification of initial structure: Al changes the matrix structure from austenite to mechanical mixture of granular perlite; Pb leads to increase of austenite quantity from 50 to 80%, to increase of size of copper containing e - phase and to appearance in its structure of eutectic (Pb + Cu); Sn leads to increase of size of copper containing e - phase and to appearance in its structure of eutectoid [α-β(Cu31Sn8)]. It is established, that at the minimal wear rate under dry and boundary friction by alloy with 3,0% Sn is observed. The near-surface friction layer alloy with 3,0% Sn contents 40...60% of y-phase and the values of microdistortions of III kind and dislocation densities p in α- and γ-phases are equal.

Kiriyevski B.A. et al. Cast Dispersion Strengthened Copper Alloys Based on Monotectric Systems
The realization of alloys strengthening by inclusions formed in a liquid state, allows creating cast alloys with a qualitatively new properties complex. On example of two kinds copper-based alloys: strengthened by inclusions formed in liquid state, and dispersionly hardening alloys additionally strengthened by dispersed inclusions formed in liquid state problems of cast bars manufacturing has been discussed.

Zhukov L.F. et al. New and Modernized Technologies of Temperature and Rapid Thermo-physical Control of Metal Alloys
High resource - consumption of the molten metal making, treatment and pouring processes is determined both physical nature of used technologies and considerable level of technically unjustified inputs, including inputs stipulated with poor metrological assurance of the metallurgical productions. Imperfection and moreover deficiency of the determining technological parameters monitoring, including metal alloys temperature, composition and structure are perfectly inadmissible for present - day metallurgy, because in such situation metal production spoilage increases, real power inputs exceeds possible in 1,5-2,0 tumes, metallurgical equipment damages become more frequent, metallurgical equipment refractory lining life decreases. Not having of analogs in principle new and the best known technologies for temperature and express thermal monitoring of the metallurgical processes, equipment and materials are being developed and modernized in PTIMA of Ukraine NAS/New developments are directed on the solution of the most actual metrological assurance problems and connected with this metrological assurance task of the stable qualitative metal production making with goals under minimum resource - consumption and maximum metallurgical equipment capacity.

Naidek V.L. et al. Temperature State of Plasma Jet Embedded in Molten Metal and Powder Reagents in Said Jet
Dates about a temperature and speed of plasma stream immersing in the liquid metal are presented and efficiency of heating of particles of lime and tungsten in her is shown.

Bazhin V.Y. Enhancement of Isotropy of the Properties of Foil and Aluminium Billets
The problem of quality foil strips received at the twin roll caster closely connected with structural changes is discussed. It is proposed different methods of metal working for reduction of anisotropy mechanical properties.

Zhiganov N.K. et al. Simulating the Non-Stationary Process of Non-ferrous Alloy Continuous Casting
The mathematical model is developed and the program for modelling non-stationary process of continuous casting cylindrical blanks taking into account thermal and hydrodynamical processes is written on its basis. Modelling and comparison of technological process of vertical continuous casting for various speeds of a discrete extract and directions of an extract (both downwards and upwards) are realized.
