Nikitin A.V., Ryaboshuk S.V., Kovalev P.V. Optimization of the slag composition at the steel ladle refining in order to increase the service life of lining
The results of optimization of refining slag characteristics in order to increase the service life of lining of steel-pouring ladles are presented. An influence of slag composition on the wear rate of the ladle lining and on the slag saturation with magnesium oxides is shown. The drawn recommendations allowed to increase the efficiency of the ladle refining of 10GN2MFA and 15Kh2NMFA steels.
Keywords: Alloy steel, composition, ladle refining, slag, quality, ladle, lining.

Davydov S.V. Fundamentals of thermodynamics and technology of formation of highly dispersed carbide phases of globular morphology in iron-carbon alloys
Structural and phase transformations in tungsten-containing functional coatings of carbon steels, received in high-energy processes of implantation of tungsten carbide micropowders by complex pulse electromechanical processing and pure tungsten micropowders in technology of directed explosion energy based on the effect of superdeep penetration of solid particles or Usherenko effect, are studied. It is shown that some zones of the tungsten-containing phases of the alloy are in the liquid phase state and also undergo spinodal decomposition with the formation of highly dispersed carbide phases of globular morphology.
Keywords: Synergotechnology, implantation, supercooled austenite, supersaturated solid solution, spinodal decomposition, highly dispersed phases, directed explosion energy, Usherenko effect, gradient structures, globular tungsten carbides.

Duyunova V.A., Mukhina I.Yu., Uridia Z.P., Leonov A.A., Trofimov N.V. Investigation of an effect of transition and rare earth elements on the properties of cast magnesium alloys
High-strength cast magnesium alloys of the Mg-Al-Zn and Mg-Zn-Zr systems currently used in Russia and abroad are used for operation at temperatures up to 150?C. A characteristic feature of these alloys is a decrease in creep and long-term strength with increasing temperature. Achievement of increased strength and heat-resistant properties is carried out by alloying with promising elements and by choosing the optimal modes of heat treatment. Complex doping of transition elements (Ti, Nb), several rare-earth metals of yttrium (Y, Gd, Er, Dy) and cerium (Nd, La, Pr, Ce) subgroups in different ratios can be promising.
Keywords: Magnesium alloys, composition, microstructure, alloying, castings, strength.

Marukovich E.I., Stetsenko V.Y., Stetsenko A.V. Thermodynamics of solid and liquid metals
Based on thermodynamic calculations of solid and liquid metals, it is shown that their molar volume Gibbs energies have negative values. When the metal is heated, the molar volume energy of Gibbs decreases and the molar boundary energy of nanocrystals increases. When the metal is cooled, the reverse process occurs. Heating and cooling of metals are thermodynamically equilibrium processes in which nanocrystals play a large role.
Keywords: Thermodynamics, metals, Gibbs energy, boundary energy, nanocrystals, heating, cooling.

Rad T.A., Golod V.M., Koklikhin A.A., Efimkin E.P., Iksanov M.V. Thermodynamic study of equilibrium physicochemical, and thermal and physical characteristics of TL3 titanium alloy
The use of the thermodynamic modeling increases the accuracy and reliability of determining the characteristics of Ti alloys, which is especially important for such characteristics, the calculation of which was previously based on binary phase diagrams with the subsequent use of additive equations.
Keywords: Titanium alloys, properties, thermodynamics, modeling.

Doroshenko V.S. Optimization of cast metal structures using digital twins and 3D printing
Examples of the use of the digital twins technology for the design of cast metal blanks, optimization of their structures in additive manufacturing, as well as computer engineering for the topology optimization of metal structures are considered. The digital twins technology is an integrator of almost all "end-to-end" digital technologies, acts as a driver, provides prerequisites for the development and allows enterprises and entire industries to move to the level of a sustainable development.
Keywords: Metal casting, design optimization, digital twin, additive manufacturing, 3D printing, digital model, topology optimization, bionic design.

Zhatkin S.S., Nikitin K.V., Parkin A.A., Golubovsky E.N., Novikov V.A. Restoration of nozzle blades of a ground gas turbine engine made of heat-resistant nickel alloy ChS104 by laser cladding and welding
The paper presents the results of research on pulsed laser surfacing on the heat-resistant alloy ChS104 with EP533 filler material. The influence of the modes of laser exposure on the formation of the macro- and microstructure of the surfacing zones has been investigated. On the basis of the studies carried out, the optimal modes of laser action were selected and the technology of restoration surfacing was proposed to eliminate defects arising in the nozzle blades of a gas turbine engine made of ChS104 alloy.
Keywords: Laser cladding, blade, alloys, repair.
